Small castle ruins above Hatzberg. Since the original lords of the castle, the lords of Hatzfeldt, died out around 1570, the castle is decaying. Only in 1988, six residents from Hatzfeld founded the association for castle history and set themselves the task of preserving, restoring and exploring the castle. Meanwhile, some walls have been uncovered again and you can get a good overview of the construction. In addition, you have from the elevated Bersporn a beautiful view of the Edertal.

I always think directly of Italy when I see the architectural style of the ruin.
Unfortunately, you can't see / do much, but still beautiful
