This remarkable structure is actually called the Goedingebrug and is a suspended iron construction that is attached under the bridge of the E40 motorway. Via stairs it offers the possibility for walkers and cyclists along the Leie to get from one bank to the other, under the car traffic towards the coast. Sint-Martens Latem, Afsnee and the unique piece of nature of the Beelaertmeersen are therefore within walking distance of Drongen
