Historic Shooting Range of the Former Kyffhäuser-Verein Reddehausen

The old shooting range of the former Kyffhäuser Club Reddehausen was built around 1900. The shooters fired small-caliber rifles at the target that was attached up here from 50 m away at the end of the path. Since the fire was being shot against the slope, there was no danger from bouncing bullets. Up here at the shooting range were two men who had to replace the targets. During the shooting, they hid in the floor shaft. In addition, they displayed the number of rings for the shooters on boards. The facility was used regularly until the late 1930s, after which the shooting range was forgotten. The beautifully embroidered flag of the Kyffhäuser Association Reddehausen is kept in the village to this day.
