The striking Landgrave's Castle towers high above Marburg's old town and is one of the city's most prominent buildings.
The Wilhelmsbau building now houses the University Museum of Cultural History on five floors.

Marburg Castle (also: Landgrave Castle Marburg) is one of the most striking buildings in the city of Marburg. It was built as a castle in the 11th century and, in addition to its historical importance as the first residence of the Landgraviate of Hesse, is of great interest in terms of art and architecture.
