The Ilbesheimer Napoleonsbank (resting bench) is one of the most beautiful of its kind in the southern Palatinate. Inscription main lintel: ELEWE BAR LA COMMVN DE ILBESHEIM EN 1811 Le 9 IVNIUS "Erected by the community of Ilbesheim on June 9, 1811.
The bench was renovated in 1996 and set up about 50 m further south, so that the previously so pleasant shade is missing.

There is also a Napoleon's bench in Ilbesheim. These benches were often set up in the Palatinate and nearby Alsace, the reason being the birth of his only son, the long-awaited heir to the throne on March 20, 1811 - the "King of Rome", later Napoleon II. There were great celebrations everywhere to give the population the opportunity to pay homage to the emperor.
