The big red Bühl is uninteresting as a summit. There is no bench to rest on, no view. There is only peace and quiet here because it is hardly visited.
The many small paths in the forest around the red Bühl are interesting and you have to discover them yourself, as you can only find very few of them on the map.
I like the old forest path best, which runs around the red Bühl on the south side, perhaps 30 to 50 m below the summit. Surprisingly, it can also be found on the Komoot map.

Please note: West of the Roten Bühl, a large amount of forest has been cleared, and new paths have been created in the process.
Here, you have to explore the paths yourself, and sometimes you won't find the old, familiar paths again.
It's impossible to get lost, as a wide forest road leads around three-quarters of the hill a little lower down. From the forest road, a beautiful forest path leads west to the 7Fuhren (7-horse carriages), and from there, you'll eventually reach the Lucas Cranach Tower, which is well-marked.
