Rather functional designed historic station building still in use today.

The station went into operation in 1934 with the opening of the S-Bahn to Hellerup. From above you can see into the open railway trench, in which the long-distance train also drives. The station offers access to an island platform for the S-Bahn. The architect of the state railway K.T. Seest designed station was placed under monument protection. After the DSB protested, the protection was only lifted again in order to be able to adapt the station to future requirements for modern mobility and is now under monument protection again.

A good place for train spotters and other puffer kissers to take pictures of the Danish railways. After all, all trains have to go through the trench, which runs like a bottle neck through the city.
