The old barn from the 17th century, restored in the 90s, stands under old trees, directly on the cycle path in the direction of Gehlenberg and the Eleonorenwald.
In front of it are a few benches that invite for a break.
The rough craftsmanship of the building and the effects of weathering make this place interesting. Today, it serves the Heimatverein Markhausens as a museum.
