Blohms Park - a green (well, today - January 30th - rather white) oasis in Horn. Amazingly spacious with different parking areas. You can read more details here: hamburg.de/parkanlagen

In 1875, Ludwig Friedrich Blohm bought the traditional site as the second to last owner. For a few years, from 1922 to 1928, Claus Heinrich Hinrichsen bought the property, sold it to the city of Hamburg and lived in the manor house for a few more years as a tenant.

Many owners shaped the design of the garden, and in 1934 the overgrown park became a public green space. Today, a circular path leads around gently rolling lawns,

which are shaded by large trees. The lion by the old oak tree was one of two lions that guarded the house of the "Guano King" Heinrich Freiherr

von Ohlendorff (1836-1928) near today's Burgstrasse train station from 1874 onwards.

It was placed under the old oak tree in the early 1960s.

Blohms Park (rarely also "Blohm's Park" or "Blohmspark") is an approximately 4 hectare, listed public green space in Hamburg's Horn district.

It goes back to an earlier private garden, the beginnings of which can be traced back to the 17th century.

The name goes back to one of the previous owners, a brother of the shipyard founder Hermann Blohm.
