Kraaiennest is an area in the Dutch municipality of Midden-Delfland, on the edge of the Westland town of De Lier. It covers an area of approximately 70 hectares, of which 48.92 hectares for day recreation. In addition, Kraaiennest serves as water storage, which sometimes conflicts with the recreational function. The core of the recreation area is formed by two large pools and a small one. In between and around it are a playground, beaches and paved and unpaved paths for cyclists and walkers. The area has developed spontaneously as a wetland into a habitat for birds.
