Today the old church is a ruin, with only the outer walls remaining. You will ask yourself why this very old building is no longer used. This is due to leaching in the subsoil. After investigations, authorities feared that the church might collapse. So it was closed in 1964 and the roof was removed. The rest is now a cultural monument and should remind us of the history of the church.
It is assumed that the massive defensive tower was built in the 13th century. Predominantly uncut stones were used. From 1818 to 1835 the church was rebuilt and expanded to the south. You can see this by the carved stones. The churchyard wall was also built during this period.

A former church with an eventful history, which has been in decline for over 60 years (due to the risk of collapse due to weak subsoil).
You should take your time in town and take a closer look at the buildings, as there are many little treasures for the eye of the beholder.

With the help of several indications, this was built around 12 centuries as a small chapel, later a massive defensive tower was built, so the chapel was expanded to a small church.
