The Friedberg Castle presents itself today as one of the largest facilities in the German-speaking world. The castle was probably founded on behalf of Emperor Barbarossa between 1171-1180 by Kuno von Münzenberg. A special highlight is the Adolfsturm in the interior of the facility, today the landmark of the city of Friedberg. The double enclosure from the 14th - 16th century has been preserved in its entirety, as well as a part of the interior.
Opening hours: The castle has no fixed opening hours. The Adolfsturm can be climbed from the beginning of April to the end of October on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays from 2 to 6 pm.

A historical gem with remarkable uniqueness in the medieval system of states: the Burgmannen and their elected lord of the castle of Friedberg Castle. The castle walls, towers, the castle and the garden make a very closed impression and are definitely worth a visit!
