't Groen Kwartier has been known as the Military Hospital since the beginning of the last century. Indeed, it served that function until the 1990s. After that, the city of Antwerp bought the site. The city wanted to integrate the area into the existing city and turn it into a residential area with new green space. Now 't Groen Kwartier is a car-free living and working place in the middle of the city where almost 400 families live.

Beautiful renovated neighborhood including The Jane by Sergio Herman. This used to be the old military hospital. 'T Pakt is also located here .... many nice eating and drinking places. Handy as a stopover for your walk.
