Capanna Gnifetti is the base point par excellence for reaching Capanna Margherita. It is located at an altitude of 3,647 meters and is the perfect refuge to acclimatise in view of the ascents to the 4,000 meters that surround it. The welcome is excellent and the food served at dinner is nothing short of delicious.

From the terrace of Capanna Gnifetti you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the glacier - which never stops whispering - the Balmenhorn and the surrounding peaks. In the distance, especially at sunset, Monviso is clearly visible.
