    Hiking

The most extensive system of sand dunes in Cumbria, the Drigg Coast's important array of habitats make it a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). It supports a number of ecosystems and hosts breeding colonies of the rare natterjack toad.

This is the closest you can get to the Isle of Man from the mainland. Legend has it that the Devil tried to build a bridge across to the island. All that remains of the attempt is a prominent offshore boulder known as Carl Crag.
