The little church was open and so we took a look. There was space for about 12 people ... and the spiritual can also use the bell ropes during the sermon.

The chapel is looked after by the non-profit chapel association for the Seven Sorrows of Mary e.V. The chapel association was founded in 1992 to commemorate Gustav Görsmann, the first pastor of the parish of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Gellenbeck. In his honor, the construction of a chapel at the foot of the hill started in 1995/1996. On the border between Hasbergen/Am Plessen and Hagen/Zum Jägerberg, the building, constructed in the style of a mountain chapel, commemorates the life and death of the clergyman who was arrested by the Gestapo in 1941 and died in the Dachau concentration camp on September 15, 1942."
