Originally there was an old moated castle here. Today there is a late baroque castle (1765-1767) with an English park and pond.

From 1765 to 1767 the baroque castle Reinhardtsgrimma was built in the late baroque style with gardens. At the beginning of the 19th century, the garden was transformed into an English park with a classical bathhouse.

In September 1945, Reinhardtsgrimma Castle was expropriated as part of the land reform. An agricultural college moved into the vacant rooms, from which the state training center for employees of the agricultural administration of the Free State of Saxony emerged in 1990.

Therefore, the castle is not generally open to the public. However, there are occasional concerts in the baroque ballroom of the castle.

Reinhardtsgrimma's architectural gem is undoubtedly the rural Baroque castle, built two years after the end of the Seven Years' War from 1765 to 1767, according to plans by the senior building councilor, Johann Friedrich Knöbel, on behalf of the Saxon Chamber Councilor Lippold, in place of the medieval moated castle "Haus Reinertsgrym." reinhardtsgrimma.hiller-musik.de/schloss.html
