In the 1950s, hamlets disappeared for clay extraction and the Hoogstraat ended in nothing.
There is now an orientation table at a height of 70 meters. This is the highest point in the Rupel region. In clear weather you have beautiful views here. Mechelen- Sint Romboutstoren, Brussels Atomium or Antwerp with its many towers.
Be careful not to walk or cycle on the side of the Hoogstraat because the old cassia-brick road is crumbling.
