The disused, still visible State Road 2305, between Emmerichshofen and Alzenau
Since the 1970s, the route of State Road 2305 has changed significantly in many areas.
Until the end of the 1970s, the old "main road of the Kahlgrund" led from Emmerichshofen, diagonally through the forest in a south-east direction to Alzenau. In the course of the new construction of the A 45, that section of the road was closed and, from 1976 to 1978, the Alzenau north bypass was taken directly to Michelbach.
