On a clear day you can have a wonderful view of the Rhine plain. In the background the hills of the Palatinate Forest. Below is the Hessler quarry, where lime has been mined since 1881 to produce plaster, wall and fertilizer lime. In the years 1969-1974 a tunnel system was cut there, which was attached to silver-bearing galena and dates from 1184-1227.

Wiesloch Mining Trail | Station 13 | In good weather you can see the Palatinate Forest, 40 to 50 km away. Less good weather is needed to discover the cooling towers of the decommissioned Philipsburg nuclear power plant, which is currently being dismantled (as of 2020), and to look at the Hessler quarry, which has been mining shell lime for the production of plaster, wall and fertilizer lime since 1881.
