The originally designed "Oier - Singer" fountain is located on the beautifully landscaped village square. The song, the text of which can be read at the fountain, is part of the tradition of "Oier singing" at Easter (or regionally also at the parish fair) and is sung by young people on their foray through the village.

Oiersinger - that is Easter tradition in Etzelwang. They ask for bread, eggs and a little money. They don't say no to a schnapps either. What can donors expect? Definitely a song, and maybe an interrupted night's sleep too. Throughout the village you can hear the prayers of the Oiersinger in the night of Easter Monday. This custom has been practiced in Etzelwang for many decades. Since March 2016, a fountain, which was created especially for this tradition by the local artist Peter Kuschel (culture award winner of the city of Sulzbach-Rosenberg), has adorned the newly designed village square. The fountain was financed from the income of the 950 year celebration in 2009.
        The text on the fountain:
"Oier-Singer, Oier-Singer, oh san me make things up. If there are three Oiers, nou kima nimma singa."
