At 414 meters, the globe is the highest elevation in the city forest. At the summit there is a lovingly designed rest area with a shelter. Signs show the way to the summit, where a summit book has been waiting for you since the beginning of July 2021 in which you can sign. If the summit book is full, please let the Melsungen Culture and Tourist Information Office know by calling (05661) 708 200.

At 414 meters, the globe is the highest point in the Melsung city forest. Allegedly there used to be a quarry here. The X8 Barbarossaweg runs directly below the globe - today also the Ars Natura hiking trail with various works of art.
