Beautiful day trip from the Seiseralm, back to the Schlernhaus, Tierser Alpl hut, Rosszahnscharte and Seiseralm.

At 2564 m, the Monte Petz is the highest point of the Schlern massif. The symbol of the South Tyrolean Dolomites consists of a vast plateau and several peaks, of which especially the Santner and Euringer peaks stand out. From the summit of the Schlern you have a great view of the rose garden and the Sassolungo group.
Starting point of the hike is Kompatsch. We go over the Alpe di Siusi on the way no. 10 until we reach the Chapit way. This branches off slightly downhill, to the left. On it we hike to the Saltner hut. The trail no. 5 we follow uphill. After about 1 km, this turns into the trail no. 1, which becomes steeper. Serpentines take us to Schlernmassiv plateau. Once we have reached this, we take the Via Alpina (Yellow Path) to the Schlernhaus. After that we turn right and get on the path no. 4 to Monte Pez.

The path from the Schlernhaus to the Tierser Alp hut goes over the high plateau of the Schlern (marker 4). This takes about 2 1/2 hours and it is always uphill on the plateau, but you are always rewarded with a magnificent view.
