Educational is located in the middle of the Green Forest nature reserve
Fish farm De Stroom. De Stroom gets its name from it
winding river De Beerze to which the company borders. In
this beautiful brook landscape near the picturesque Oirschot cultivation
the Van der Schoot family eat fish in an environmentally conscious way
Catfish. Be warmly welcomed on the terrace with a
Snack and a beverage. Or book a company excursion and let yourself be
inspired by how they make a living from their dream
    have made.
    Taste unique specialty beers
Imagine yourself in another world on the terrace, inspired
through Canada. And taste the different regional beers,
including De Stroom's own house beer: Sporrings ™ -
a homage to the church village of Spoordonk.

A nice place to take a break from the walk.

The De Stroom Educational Centre, located on the Beerze River near Spoordonk, focuses on nature education and educational programs on water, biodiversity, and nature management. The centre uses its immediate surroundings, such as the Beerze River, the wet fens, and the stream valley, as a learning environment to provide visitors with insight into water management, the flora and fauna of wetlands, and the history of the landscape.

The centre organizes activities for schools, groups, and individuals. These activities explain the functioning of streams, fish ladders, fens, and marshes, as well as the relationship between water management and nature restoration in the area. The centre's location directly on the Beerze River allows for a combination of theory and practice, for example, through walks along the watercourse and the fen zones of the Beerze Valley.

For hikers, the centre is a landmark and a place that demonstrates how active management and education converge in a regional nature reserve.
