The castle of the Earls of Hornes is private property. It was named after the members of the illustrious family that resided there. The current owner is Count Cornet de Ways Ruart, descendant of the Counts de Robiano. Surrounded by water, the castle dates from the 13th century and was built around a keep. At the end of the 15th century, the fortress was transformed into a (residential) castle.
The interior of the castle cannot be visited. The park is accessible during guided tours and certain events. The tours also cover the origins of Braine-le-Château, the lapidarium, the St-Remy church (gisant, stained glass windows), the Grand-Place with its pillory and the Bailiff's House.
