The majestic Cefn Bryn ridge is made from Old Red Sandstone and is a true local personality, lying in the Gower region of South Wales. It’s highest at its eastern end, rising to 617 feet (188 m) and offers spectacular views along the coastline and across the entire Gower Peninsula. With a bridleway traversing the entire ridge, it makes for a fantastic objective, whether on foot or by bike.

    Tips

    Mountain biking

Although you can get much closer to the shore than this, climbing up to the huge ridge of Cefn Bryn is well worth it for the sweeping panoramic views of the Gower coastline, which surrounds you on three sides.

It's a stiff climb from the southern slope, but once you are up there you have 1.2 miles (2 km) of ridgeline riding to look forward to!

    Hiking

Cefn Bryn at 188 metres is a UK designated ‘Hump,’ which is a hill with a 100 metres of prominence. The top is marked by a trig point with marvellous views down over Three Cliffs Bay.
