Hiking

Old clay pits from 1870 - 1900 provided the necessary clay to bake bricks for constructing the necessary buildings. There was even a temporary brick factory on the site of the Colony. Some clay pits have filled up but are still in their original state. Others are filled with waste. Now it is a relaxing location where fishermen can indulge themselves. An oasis of peace in our busy world.
