Four ditches parallel to the slope lie along this path. The upper one is the Zellerfeld artificial ditch. The next ditch was approximately 10 meters above the slope, roughly corresponding to the diameter of a waterwheel. The third ditch ran about 10 meters lower, but had the opposite slope. The water flowed back through it after driving a waterwheel, so that another wheel could generate power with the same amount of water. The fourth ditch was located near the Oberspiegelthal Pond.
