The moor through which the Krebsbach flows is up to six meters deep, and the peat is extremely wet and liquid. And it's treacherous: nine years ago, two hikers had to be pulled out of the moor by a helicopter using a cable winch. They were stuck up to their hips in the muddy ground and could no longer free themselves. The couple made an emergency call using their cell phone.
