The footholds protrude quite close to the vertical rock face. It is a little difficult to switch from the wide footholds to the footholds. In places you have to use a little strength to pull yourself up using the steel cable.
All in all, this is the most beautiful climbing section of the Collis steep path, even if it is only about 20 m long. The climbing section can be bypassed on the steep path within a stone's throw.
