The Collis Tower was financed and built in 1906 only by donations. From the small brick tower with its observation deck you have a great view of the Mosel valley. At the weekend, a small kiosk opens at the Collis Tower between 11am and 5pm.

The Collis Tower in Zell promises great enjoyment in the truest sense of the word. There is an attractive view from the top. However, the climb up is via the most difficult climbing route on the Moselle.

Great view of Zell and the Moselle.
There is a small bell on the viewing platform that entices you to ring.
The Collis Tower (Latin: collis = hill) replaced a wooden shelter that had existed since 1892 and was a compensation by the Mosel-Bahn AG for the view of the residents, who preferred to have it on the mountain, from the cannon railway viaduct built on the banks of the Moselle behind the town would have wanted.
A kiosk offers some entertainment on weekends and public holidays.
