An important crossroads for hikers and cyclists as a connection between Haßloch, Horlachgraben and Haßlocher Tann. There is a large playground and outdoor exercise equipment nearby. On one side of the transition you can see a small island in the Horlache. On the other side is a small ramp, which at least earlier was used by the water train of the THW local branch in Rüsselsheim for exercises.

Well-attended local recreation zone for the citizens of Rüsselsheim.

The Main used to run east of Rüsselsheim coming from Raunheim, bend sharply at Königstädten towards Schönauerhof, past Bauschheim and reach the Rhine at Ginsheim. The Neckar also flowed into the Rhine near Trebur.

The landscape was criss-crossed by the Main and Neckar oxbow lakes. Since usable arable land and meadows were rare, monks resident in Hassloch began in the 13th century with the first drainage measures in the Bornbruch near Hassloch. This is how the flood ditch was created, which, coming from Raunheim, led past Hassloch, Königstädten, Hof Schönau and Bauschheim to the Rhine.

With the drainage of the surrounding area, the flood ditch visibly silted up over the centuries and was partly plowed in and cultivated by the farmers.

There is a small parking lot here on the east side of the Horlachgraben.
