The Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Hulp der Christenenkerk was built in 1849 as a joint initiative of the Zogge, Ekelbeke and Meerstraat districts. It was a branch church of the Sint-Pieters-Bandenkerk in Hamme. It is a mixture of neoclassical and neo-baroque style elements. The striking tower with 'lantern' top is neo-baroque.
