On the listed boundary stones made of federal sandstone you can find the Mainz wheel on one side and the Hessian lion on the other. Archbishop WiIIigis of Mainz was the son of a chariot builder and in 975 he had large chariot wheels painted on his gates and walls out of envy. He then had white wheels painted on the walls of his hall to emphasize his humble origins. Since Amöneburg belonged to Mainz for a long time, the Mainz wheel can also be found in Ämöneburg's coat of arms.

The "Mainzer Rad" rest area is also located here. A historical landmark is on site. Benches and a table are available.

This chapel also has a listed boundary stone with the Mainz wheel on one side and the Hessian lion on the other side. Amöneburg belonged to Mainz for a long time. There is also a nice rest area here with a great view.
