On March 18, 1944, incendiary bombs hit the old St. Mary's Church, which burned down together with the stored furniture and was destroyed down to the foundation walls. The reconstruction in 1951 was a new building of the church using the remaining walls.

"The Marienkirche is located in the old town center of Frankfurt-Seckbach. The church was built in 1710 in the style of the Main Franconian peasant baroque. After being almost completely destroyed in the Second World War, it was rebuilt in 1951. After extensive interior renovation in 2012, the church now has a bright and modern Interior, with an expressive colored choir window by Thomas Kuzio." (Wikipedia)
