The Via Belgica is an old Roman military road that connected Cologne with the Atlantic coast. This military road was about 400km long. It ran through Jülich, Heerlen, Maastricht, Tongeren, Barvay, where it split up to Bologne-Sur-Mer, via Cambrai and then Armiens.
