Hubertus Chapel

This chapel recalls the story of Hubertus, the patron saint of the hunters. He is said to have gone hunting on Good Friday. When he came across a deer, he put on his crossbow. But then the huge animal looked at him with a glowing cross over his head. So Hubertus was converted.

The small Hubertus Chapel above the Kaumberg cemetery is currently being freshly painted.

Hubertus, the patron saint of hunters, made the same mistake as most of us - before becoming a saint. Something or someone becomes the center of life, we know that. His passion for hunting determined his whole life. and he even forgot Good Friday. Only the voice of Christ, which appeared to him as a stag with a shining cross between the antlers, brought the hunter to his senses.
