After a new Alpine dairy was established here in 2013, the tradition of cheesemaking has been revived. Around twenty cows provide milk for the own mountain cheese. On the terrace, you can enjoy hearty snacks, homemade cakes, and, as a specialty, fresh goat's milk. The truly fantastic cheese is also available to take away. You can easily reach the Sennalpe Bärenschwand from the mountain station of the Hündlebahn.

After the completion of the new alpine dairy in spring
In 2013, after 50 years, mountain cheese and mountain butter will be produced again on the Bärenschwand Alp.
20 cows graze on the mountain meadows, and their milk is processed into mountain cheese every day.
There are also 2 goats, 6 alpine pigs and chickens. Open daily from May 12th - beginning of October - no days off.
