Monemvasia Lighthouse

Wonderful walk out on the narrow trail to the extreme eastern point of the peninsula, it continues a little past the old lighthouse.

Great view and starting point for circumnavigating Monemvasia. Good shoes and a head for heights are a must.

Through the old town there is a gate in the large open space at the back of the old town wall, when you stand in front of the rock the main entrance is on the left and on the right on the wall, where you come to the lighthouse, from there you can circle the entire island and come out again at the front of the dam, the first 300 m behind the lighthouse, however, you have to jump from stone to stone, it is not a comfortable well-trodden hiking trail, only then does it become easy to walk on again.
