A well preserved and widely visible medieval castle. From autumn 2017, the state of Bavaria will carry out extensive remediation and security measures at Burg Veldenstein. The castle was sold in 1939 to the 'second man' in the Third Reich, Hermann Göring. This also had the castle constantly renovated and built in 1942 under the manor a bomb-proof bunker with its own electricity, air and water supply.

A well-preserved medieval castle that can be seen from afar. In 2017, the Free State of Bavaria carried out extensive renovation and security measures at Burg Veldenstein.
