RUUP comes from the word Ruupor which translates to megaphone in Estonian. The artist Birgit Õigus designed them. And there are three of them installed in Grizedale forest on the Carron Crag trail in the Lake District. The artist wants to 'encourage people to stop and listen to the sounds of the forest'.
