Surrounded by the breathtaking and dramatic scenery of the Coppermines valley with its waterfalls, and The Old Man of Coniston summit within touching distance (metaphorically), shrouded in mist. Multiple paths available from here to explore the surrounding mountains, including The Old Man. Views to die for!

Running

Copper has been mined here since the 16th century and continued until the 1950's so there is a lot of history and relics to explore. Look out for the old mine carts, water wheel and mine buildings as well as open shafts and tunnels (best not to explore too deeply as it's a total maze and not all stable.
The YHA Coppermine’s is also here, a great base for exploring the area.
