From Chatburn to Downham loop with ice cream along the way ☺️
This was an enjoyable spring walk. Perfect weather for a walk around this area. The ice cream shop in Downham was a perfect stop. This route needs to be done with a few days of dry weather as it could get difficult in areas after a few days of rain.

Sawley Abbey loop with a sunset view 👌🏼
We were lucky to get to a viewpoint where the sun was setting. We saw a pair of Kingfishers, a couple of herons and plenty of pheasants along the way. Lovely evening walk.

Took advantage of the spring weather. We’ve done this walk before, but we did change it slightly along the way. A lovely walk for a sunny afternoon.

A stunning area with a lot of trails to follow. I’ll definitely be exploring this area further. I also had some great views with the low lying clouds 👌🏼

From Plantation Road to Coppice Monument loop
A lovely stroll with the family before the rain moves in! They’ve really improved the area since my childhood, thanks to the wonderful volunteers.

Up to Cant Reservoir to Hurstwood Reservoir loop
Finally, a fine day for walking with my Dad and daughter around Hurstwood Reservoir. It’s a lovely area with lots of trails going off in all directions. Advised to go early as parking goes quickly at the weekend.

A windy view of Liverpool Waterfront loop from Seacombe
The front was lovely to walk down with the views of Liverpool, but once off the front and walking through the gardens, it was a big disappointment due to the amount of dog poo and litter. It really let the area down.

A winter wonderland walk from Dovestone Reservoir to Alphin Trig point loop
It was a challenging but rewarding hike to Alphin Pike. The views were amazing and the snow added to the scene. The views at the top were outstanding as I was lucky to have a clear day. I did get a little lost on the way down as I lost the path due to the thick snow but managed to get back on track. An area to explore further.
