The rock formation is around 100 meters long between the two bounding valleys that pull up to the north in the direction of Kleiner Knüll. Some of the houses lean against the rocks. Some are even built back into the rock. The scenery is particularly beautiful in May when the lilacs are in bloom. Directly on the road there are also two disc crosses carved into the rock, along with a niche for possibly a figure of a saint and grooves. To the west, the rock continues beyond the side valley in another stone formation that forms the southern slope of the Kirchberg. There was a castle there in Ottonian times, the ancestral seat of the Eskones, which was later converted into a monastery (around 1100 AD). The road "Kirchberg" was only cut into the bedrock in the early 19th century.

The Bielstein is a rock formation that rises in the middle of the village of Reinhausen directly at the through-town.

The residents live here with their rocks to this day, just as you can see it on the Dordogne.

Finds from the Stone Age, Iron Age and late Middle Ages were found during excavations at the foot of the Bielstein.
