Located at an altitude of 1974 meters, the Lac du Mont Cenis is an artificial lake. Since 1947 the Lac du Mont Cenis is entirely French. There is a dam built in 1968, and close to it there is also a chapel, recording Napoleon's battles in Egypt.

Beautiful but strenuous route through the forest. Shortcut via single trail possible, steep. That's why I didn't do it (with a lot of luggage).
