One of the two fords that give Twyford it’s name. This is the lower crossing but both are within the same picturesque, wooded, steep-sided ghyll, which was created by the streams that the fords cross.

Twyford takes its name from the two fords in the settlement and this is the lower one of them. Both have concrete bases and are usually shallow so can be safely ridden, although there are footbridge options for anyone that doesn't fancy getting wet.
