Building materials, agricultural products and steel products are handled in the port of Albern. There are five large granaries on the site with a total capacity of 90,000 tons. The heavy goods center for high & heavy loads (up to 450 tons) is also located in the port of Albern. This makes the port of Albern one of the most important locations for grain handling in eastern Austria.

There are other large logistics companies along the Alberner Hafenzufahrtsstraße and there are also some reserve areas for potential company settlements.

At the extreme eastern end of Vienna, in Vienna's 11th district, lies the seemingly sleepy port of Albern in the middle of a melancholic floodplain. Five large warehouses from the time of the NS dictatorship with imposing industrial architecture stand on the narrow harbor basin, to which new buildings and modern industry have been added. If you look from the Alberner Hafenzufahrtsstraße across the basin towards the Danube, you can see the oil storage facilities of the Lobau port in the distance.
