Currently (03/2023) there are unfortunately only a few reliable (i.e. Saturdays / Sundays at lunchtime!) rest stops in Schierke. The Brocken baker is one of them. 👍
Here you can get not only coffee and cakes / pastries but also soup of the day / stew. Everything very, very tasty!
