There are plans by CEMEX to reactivate the old vineyard and create a new one, of course according to ecological guidelines and bio-dynamic, whatever that should be 👍😊.

The vineyard, which was planted again after 2000, goes back to a time when mining and limestone quarrying was carried out by monks in the 16th century. As far as I know, limestone was extracted here, especially for church building. The monks managed to be self-sufficient here, so to speak, and practiced agriculture and viticulture. The south-facing slopes and the soil conditions probably made viticulture possible here. In order to revive this tradition, this vineyard was planted again as part of "Redenstrassen-History". Unfortunately, I cannot say who runs it today and what the yield is.
