Theodor Ropohl built a small chapel on his property in 1860 and donated it to his home village as the Maria Hilf Chapel on February 12, 1861. In 1898 the chapel was founded by the priest Professor Dr. Johann Schüller, a son of a local farming family. Now it was consecrated to Saint Barbara.
